Default Annoying Noise

So i get this strange noise (2001 mazda protege (aka familia) that sounds as if its coming from the left side of my dashboard when i switch on the air conditioning. Driving over rough road with the ac on, there's this rattling noise that then goes away when the road is smooth, but with the ac off there's no longer any noise at all, regardless of road conditions. Had the ac fan checked and was told its fine...at one point i even thought maybe the noise was coming from a bad suspension link but that wash't it either...what else could it possibly be? Had this for years and have never been able to pinpoint it...help! :-) Thanks.

I am sure it is a baffle or "blend door" inside the duct work.

Ok, baffle or blend door... thanks! Now how do I get access to that area? Where would that be located? Can I do it myself or do I need to find a professional?

"Can I do it myself or do I need to find a professional? "

That depends on your skills. I wouldn't be the judge of that. But if you have to ask that question....
