My '98 Protege with 122K will notstop the engine sometimes when the key is turned to the off position.You have to play with it a few times hesitating in the electronics only position before going to full off before the engine stops running. It usually happens after shorttrips.Must I replace the ignition component? Is this a challenge for the ordinary guy? Are there special tools needed? About how pricey would you estimate for a professional to replace? And, we do have an engine light that has come and gone a few times and now has stayed on a few months with no apparent operating impact. Thanks.
