96 protege a little slow

Default 96 protege a little slow

I have a 1996 protege lx with a 1.5l and its a little slow for my taste especially starting up, anyone know of ways to make it a little faster?

Cut holes in the floor and get good sneakers!!!!

Unfortunately, there are not alot of good performance parts for this series. Just alot of useless junk. Here are few things that will help the situation.

1. NGK plugs and wires, along with a good cap and rotor. This will help with slow starting, and will get you a little more throttle response.

2. New fuel filter-These cars are very dependent of fuel pressure to run right.

3. 89 Octane fuel. And keep your tank above half full. This keeps the fuel pump cool, which helps it to work better.

And remember, you may not have the fastest car in a straight line, but I know from experience, once you get into the curves, nothing will be able to keep up to your Protege.
