hello i own 95 protege and have had the cel on since i got it. never had an issue with it till a couple days ago when it decide to bogg down and stall if you give it oo much gas at once. i tried to extract the dtc's in order to see if the cel has an answer to my deliema. but the extraction way by jumping out the diagnosis port didn't work. wondered if anyway had any solutions.

 

95 Protege is about 1/2 OBD11 and 1/2 not. Kind of a screwy year for Mazda on that one. Try taking into Autozone or other comparable parts store. The OBD11 diagnostic connector is under the dash, straight up from drivers footwell area. They will know what it looks like as long as they know where it is.
