Default 205R50 replacement on 03 ES

I am looking at putting 205R50's on to replace the 195R50's that came with the car. There are very few options for tires in the 195R50 series, most of the being summer performance tires. Has anyone tried to put the larger tire on the 03 ES?

What diameter wheel are we talking about here, the stock 16s? If so, then you might want to consider going with a 215/45 R16. Why? Those tires have a very similar overall diameter compared to your stock tires. If you go with 205/50 R16 tires, your speedometer and odometer will always underreport both your speed (i.e. you'll be going faster than indicated) and the miles you've driven.
