Default 2003 protege power door lock gears needed

I have a 03 Protege LX with 3 of 4 doors with broken door lock actuators.
I am reasonably sure the gears are shot, not the motors.
I can find old ebay listings, $14 each, but listing is not active.
I found someone in Australia who wants $50 each for the gear alone !
Does anyone know where I can get these ? I am in NJ / USA
Thanks !

A guy named richter brought some in from Australia and was selling them on ebay for a while. Dluxcars on ebay will be selling the plastic gears soon. They sell the small motors for the actuator. Look for MAZDA PROTEGE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR REPAIR DIY!! on ebay.

From his ebay electrical motor listing:

We have been using these motors for a long time!! We have been supplying shops for a while before deciding to post here on ebay.Look at our other auctions for larger quantities and discounts

Buy with confidence!!!

Please note that in a few weeks we will be selling the INFAMOUS PLASTIC GEAR that breaks on the Mazda protege door locks as well.

Thank You !!!

I just had a thunk... should I be lubricating something to help the door locks work easier? maybe then the gears won't strip so fast ?

Thanks, blknblu!
I bought two gears from the older ebay listings, and now another one of my doors broke. I'm stocking up on these once Dluxcars starts selling them!

Exdirtbiker, I used white lithium grease when installing my first two gears a few months back, and they seem to be working fine.

Follow up----
The Dlux cars gears were the thinner version- like on the 98-2001. I didn't ask, they didn't tell.
I can't use them. And I waited waaay too long to try to return them. almost $80 wasted.

I found more on ebay today - in Australia - "grantt005" - $11.44 USD plus $6.11 shipping to USA

I used "100% silicone".
rears went in with the usual amount of cursing.
front actuator would not let me put both screws in. I fought for an hour.
then thought I maybe my son swapped front / rear by mistake, so I took them out again. ( one was out out the car for 4 months)
No, they are in correct locations..
After much cursing I realized I was trying to put the front one in upside-down ! :-{ !!!
or backwards, whatever you want to call it.

Suggestions to "help the next guy" :
you MUST have a magnetic #2 Phillips screwdriver to put the screws back in.
DO NOT take more than one door apart at a time.
the black goo on the plastic moisture barrier will move to more places than you want. - Use WD40 and many rags to make it go away.
