Default 2002 Protege5 tire size aand rear wiper arm

Hello,

I'm new to the Mazda world, but I like what I've seen so far and am looking forward to taking delivery of an '02 Protege 5 early next week.
Two questions, the tires will be due for replacement soon. The stock size is 195 50 16. Is there any problem in going to 205 50 16? There are more choices available in the 205's and the prices are a bit lower too.
Second, the car looks to be in very good condition, but it is missing the rear wiper arm.
Do I have to pick this up through the Mazda dealer, or are there other sources that may stock it?
Thank you and I'm looking to have fun motoring in the Protege5 soon.

I put the 205's on my Wifes 02 P5last week, fills out the fenders a bit better, no problems so far.

Hello: My wife has a 2002 protege 5 and the factory size tires are worn again. Is it possible to run 205/55/16 on the car (more selections available) or are 205/50/16 the largest you can go? Any help would be appreciated. thankyou

Hi,

I am running 215/35/18 with a 3" Tein Drop kit and I have no rubbing issues...so I think you are safe with your selection of tire size.
