2002 Mazda protege- p0421, power steering, overheat,ac

Okay,
So a couple weeks ago my car started running very sluggishly. Check engine started flashing, code said I had a misfire and bad map sensor. I replaced one coil pack and the wires, tightened my fairly new spark plugs(which I found to be loose), and discovered the vacuum hose had just fallen off of the map sensor. After these fixes, the check engine went off and car ran great. Check engine light came back on about a week later, code was P0421. Cat converter/exhaust is what they told me. At about the same time the ac went out. It will be cold when you turn the car on, then start blowing hot. It will get cold again for a bit, here and there. Today, I went to turn the car on, and the wheel was stiff. As soon as the vehicle started moving, the steering was fine again. Only when the car is starting to move from being stopped, does the power steering seem bad. I have had to replace and tighten my serpentine belt many times in the past, it was also squeaking very badly when I turned on the car today. Car still felt fine when driving. Drove it about 10 miles and the check engine light went off completely. Steering was fine right after a red light for the first time today. Almost immediately, I saw the temp gauge go up. Was about 3/4 up. I immediately turned the heat all the way up, and it immediately went down. I drove the 1 mile to my house and parked it. The check engine light did not comeback on. I'm not even sure where to start. Serpentine belt and water pump for starters? Thanks in advance for any help!!! :)))
