So my lx runs perfectly fine minus some whistling on hard acceleration. I have noticed though when I start the car, it starts than suddenly sounds like it's going to die but doesn't. Anyone have any solutions for this?

 

Clean the MAF, clean the throttle body, check for vacuum leaks. Common leak is from the intake manifold gasket.
