I have 96 B4000.

My window regulator on driver went out: the gears are worn out. The motor is fine.

I can't seem to find one from other than at the dealer. Almost all are passenger side and/or for manual (not power) windows.

Qu: What is the part number, and can you provide a parts source for this one.

Also, this is supposed to be the same as a Ford Ranger. However, when I see the pics, there is a slight difference in that the arm of the regulator in the B4000 has a rectangular hole with the metal pried 90deg (as in a lip) that I believe is used to position it -- the Ford Ranger part does not seem to have this hole. Any thoughts/opinions on this?

try a junkyard. any model from that time period proabably has the same part. don't know part numbers, the dealer might give that to you. not sure about it being the same as the ranger, ford didn't start making mazda's trucks until 98 or 99, not sure which, but it was after your truck was built, they should be similar and you could most likely make it fit, but that is up to you.
