Mazda BT 50 & Pickup Trucks While Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50

Don't believe they had any option for a v6, I may stand corrected on this though. The only major thing I can think of would be the ECM could go bad unless it has been rebuilt. AVPRO does a great job at this. I paid $160 to have mine repaired. Other than these things I don't think there is anything you should worry about. These trucks are great machines.

No these trucks did not come with a six cylinder, the b2600 had a 2.6L four cylinder engine. another thing to watch for on these trucks are the chasis, especiallyif the truck was used in an environment where salt was used on the road.

Iv'e got the same- 1993 B2600i 5 speed manual, 4x4 w extended cab. 167,000 miles. It can only be a 4 cylinder,2.6 ltr.
Remember it is older and will need replacing of components as time goes on. The other post re ECM is probably right on.
Because of fuel delivery problems I have replaced most minor parts and am currently stuck on the fuel pump/tank replacement and it will probably end up being the ECM after all. As I now recall there was an odd burnt odor before the problem started. Other bothersome problem is not being able to fully engage the remote freewheel system. Since I want to keep the truck it is not a bad idea to replace and service as much as possible.

Exclamation Replacing broken valve cover bolt on a 93 Mazda B2600i 2.4l

Hey ya'll-- has anyone ever had to replace a bolt on their valve cover? I just broke off a bolt by over-torquing while replacing my valve cover gasket. I'm semi-stranded in upstate NY lol. Where can I get a replacement bolt, and what exactly do I need? Having trouble figuring this out online. The bolt says "6" on top.

Love this truck-- have owned it about 5 years and taken it all over. Drove to Alaska and back a few years ago, no issues.
