Default 1990 B2600I NEED HELP

OK Heres what I have started about a year ago running about 75 mph and the Engine dies sit for 10 min and runs fine this happened about 4 times, the last time two weeks ago I got it home and now it runs like crap when it runs.

At low idle it will rev up and down I press the excellerator the engine dies, I replaced the dist. cap rotor, plugs, wires, the fuel press was about 45psi
was told the fuel pump was bad replaced it press still the same, replaced fuel regulator, no change called mazda and they said that sounds like I had a broken line, no gas leaking anywhere, pinched off return line and fuel press went to 75 psi truck ran but sputtered and sputted reved up and down.

Everything I read comes up with something else.

I welcome any help.

Iside your cab on the drivers side, behind the kick panel is the engine control module (ECM). Disconnect your battery and pull it out. Crack that puppy open and look aroud the bottom of the big capacatorrs for signs of damage. The computers that mazda used are made by Mitsubishi. They were born destined to fail. the capacators leak acid after a few years of service. The acid then proceeds to eat up any metal that it comes into contact with. This causes the rough running and eventual faiure of the ECM. Check out www.avproecm.com and click on the mazda link.

I have a 1991 mazda B2600i 4X4 and after chasing ghosts for three months finally came across the web site I mentioned before. I just sent my computer to them yesterday. I'll post with the result in a week or so.[&:]

Sorry, a little misinformation there the ECM is on the passenger side, not the drivers side.

Stupid stupid

The computer is back and in the truck. where before the truck would only run for ten minutes it seems to be doing fine. It feels like it may even idle a little smoother that it did before. I'm a happy mazda owner again.
