Mazda BT 50 & Pickup Trucks While Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50

Default 1988 b2600 carb

Has anyone had a 1988 Mazda b2600 (Mitsubishi motor) That burned gas excessively? The truck runs great but I filled up and burned a half tank of gas in 50 miles! There is a VERY strong gas odor coming from the exhaust, but the truck starts, idles, and runs fine. I cant figure it out! Hopefully someone on here has a clue.

its a carb issue .. most say go to weber carb, but the vaccum lines on this carb are complicated. if you still have the truck, try adjusting the two bottom screws on drivers side of carb at base. counterclockwise on the top screw for gas intake clockwise on bottom screw for idle intake
