I found an old 81 B2000 that the guy wants to sell for 400 and I noticed the valve train is noisey....wondering what kind of engine issues of problems that exist for this model year truck...I test drove it and it runs pretty good...EGR light is on, valve cover gasket leak and M.C. leaks...has one ton springs on rear, canopy, and ladder railing...I need a truck soon but do not want to do too much work...are there any direct bolt-in engine swaps for this vintage?
