Default Turbocharging and Adjustable FPR for 94 mx3 with Vics

I am looking at buying a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and What I’m hoping someone on here may know about is turbocharging the 94 1.6 engine.

the fuel pressure regulator on the 4cyl B6d motor has 2 vacuum lines, one hooked up to the “VICS” valve (variable intake charge system) and one to the purge solenoid #1.
with your standard afpr’s there is one vacuum line to hook up to the intake for boost input.
But I don’t know yet what to do with these two vacuum lines on the stock fpr.
I am aware of what Vic’s and the purge solenoids do, but does anyone have any experience with how to work with these

OK well I found out what to do. I think I’m just going to disconnect the purge solenoid, because the only think it does is control pressure for hot engine restarts. And from what I found when people have went turbo charged they have just disconnected it and had no problems.
and as for the Vics, I am going to hook up a RPM switch Using a shift light circuit.
Then there we have it don’t need to worry about the vacuum lines and now there is room to hook up the afpr.
One step closer to the turbo
