guys my 1991 mx6, automatic trans is giving me trouble. its seems to be stuck in 2nd. It also has a hard bang when going from park, to reverse. the car was driving just fine. i stopped at the store and when i got back in to to drive on i could tell its sluggish. After driving straight home i realized it seems be stuck in 2nd. Any ideas??? thanks

 

Sounds like your going to need to replace your tranny.

 

The solinoids and wires on the valve body can have a problem. If you drove it that way even for just a couple of blocks major damage may already be done. I suggest checking every connection and solinoid on the valve body and a full super clean rebuild.
