my 93 MX6 stalled while driving
I was driving on a freeway and my car suddenly slowed down and stalled. When the tow truck came, I tried starting again and did. But as soon as I drove, it died again. After being towed home, car parked for an hour then I tried starting and it did and was able to drive into the garage after it cooled down. I replaced my distributor 3 years ago. After the 2nd year I kept seeing my check ingine light on at least 2-3 times a day. I'm guessing the ignition coil (is it built-in the distributor) ...Appreciate any feedback, Thanks.

EGR could have carbon build up in it, resulting in less than optimum performance. The same thing has come up on my sister-in-law's car, escort. Mechanic said this can happen, instead of the valve going bad, it's just clogged, or partially clogged.
The solenoid valve could be hampered by the same thing. I don't know for sure though.
I'd try cleaning out the EGR valve and see if there's any improvement.
