Its a I4.

 

Not familiar with that engine about hoses.

 

It has to be a 4 cylinder. They did not make a v6 for that model that year. It is either a 2.2 turbo or just a plain 2.2 engine. A hose comes from the valve cover to the intake air boot and another comes off the PCV to the intake.

 

I think your card is old that's rising the problem.

 

I would love to have an 89 626 in decent condition. They are great cars, probably one of the best cars Mazda has made in the last 30 years or so.
