Mx3 problems
I just bought a 1992 Mazda Mx3 Gs. When I start the car in the morning, it runs great. When it starts to warm up it idles a little rough. I takes off through 1st and second fine the first few times i have to shift. But when i get about a mile down my road it cuts out like its starving for gas when it reaches about 5000rpm. And also, when i take a right hand turn it a fast speed, or normally, it completely loses power, and spits and sputters until it down shift and pop the clutch, or let it die and turn it over three or four times until it starts. Mass air flow sensor? Weak fuel pump? Not sure just replaced the fuel filter and drained all the gas because of water in the gas. Any input in appreciated.
I don't think it would be your Vaf(not maf) cause it would be doing that at any time. Whens the last time you've changed your 02 sensors? That can affect your acceleration. Is your intake elbow have any leaks? And last, have you check for any engine codes?
I just recently bought the car. Haven't changed the 02 sensors, or checked for leaks. I brought the car down to my friends garage this morning. I'm able to check anything i have to now. Thanks for the input, and I will for sure check those things first and get back to you with results.
I have seen cars with cooling system problems do the exact same thing. Problems that I saw do exactly this include wrong or bad radiator cap, head gasket, cracked head, or cracked block. The fact that it runs worse when warm will make me check the cap, cooling system pressure, and oil for water first. If those are working the O.E.S. I start checking everything = fuel, air, comp. , and fire. Need what a computer? It's a manufactured machine if everything works it will. Just fix it.
