Default Mazda mx3 keeps cutting out

I have a problem with my 1992 mazda mx3 1.6 auto. My partner drove to our garage and left it running for about 10 mins, after this it just died. It then wouldn't start again, turned over but would not fire, so we towed it home and left it over night. He came out to it the next day and it started first time but after a while it died but started fine afterwards. We were told it was the coil pack or rotary arm, so changed both of these. But this didn't fix the problem. We have replaced the spark plugs and leads and thought this had fixed the problem but no luck. Any ideas what it could be? Don't want to keep replacing parts on a car that is pretty old when so far we have been wasting out time. The mazda was also recalled at the start of this month to have the ignition switch replaced the problem has been ongoing since the Mazda garage changed this. Is it possible they have caused this problem in anyway?

Get a code check, I'm going with either Cam position sensor or crank position sensor. When these get old, they start playing up when the engine warms up their internal resistance goes off the scale & the engine shuts down.
