Default low idle, 94 mazda mx-6

I have a 94 Mazda MX6 with a 2.0 L engine, just recently replace the head gasket; I brought a gasket set so I replace all the seals and gasket that came with it. I’m sure the timing is right, followed the instructions from the tech manual. But I am experiencing a very low idle, in gear and when its not in gear after the car is warm up. It’s idling near 400 rpm and lower and will sometimes shut off. The car drives nicely and I get lots of power. I would like to know what could cause a low idle, especially after warm up, and where to look at for furthered diagnosing. History of the car > I brought the car from a guy who wanted to get rid of it and I thought it would be a nice car to learn off of since i am going to school to learn how to work on cars. The car sat in his yard for about 2 years with the battery disconnected and the car dieing in need of help. He said his sister stop driving it because of ruff harsh idle and ruff riding, so when I got the car I found out it blew a head gasket, so I decided to replace all of that an do a head job and fix the car up.

If anyone could help me that would be good. Thank you.

try turning the air fuel mixture screw on top of the throtal body. turn it slow to let the computer adjust that should take care of it.
