I went in for a tranny service and the mechanic told me he had to take apart the tranny to change the filter, so he was just going to change the fluid. When i got home I looked up the filter on the web from a local parts store and sure enough it said the tranny had to be disassembled to install the filter, I find this very hard to believe. Is it hard to change the filter???

 

Yup, you cannot get to it. Internal. Fluid swap is it. Been there too.
