my 89 mpv motor takes off as soon as i start it, and i have to quickly shut it down.
the van quit couple of days ago, so i changed the fuel filter, and pulled out the fuel pump for testing, and then reinstalled. when i started it, it fired and began gunning. i always end up shutting it down when it reaches 5000 rpm (about 1 second). i've looked at vacuum lines and even pulled individual lines and tried the engine. i have also pulled various connecters but the motor still takes off. thanx for any help you can give me, i am a newbie!
