Thumbs up little help here...

94 mpv 6 cyl. sometimes the check engine light comes on for a min or so and goes off, but not all the time. I noticed a diagnose port on the front driver side, will a plug in device indicate the problem? Just want to know, and is this some kind of thing one could purchase or have the guys at autozone plug in? Many thanks!

Well Steve, in 1994 cars were still on the OBDI system which was not standardized like OBDII is. Therefore, you may have some trouble getting that code read correctly as each manufacturer came up with their own code list and how it would be read. Essentially, all the software used in different cars was specific to that manufacturer.
Too bad your MPV is not a late '95 or 96 instead of a '94.

An off-the-wall guess might be that the O2 sensor(s) have never been changed and are failing... but that is ONLY a guess.
