Default All-Sport Questions

I changed oil again today on my 97 All-Sport. I hate changing oil on it because of the plastic shroud underneath. What is the harm of taking it off permanently? And my second question, has anyone put glasspacks or cherrybomb mufflers on ther All-Sport? Thanks!!

Default RE: All-Sport Questions

Zmanzke,

I know just what you are talking about--I've pulled that shround off probably 30 times myself on my '97 All Sport, but I always put it back on. I'm thinking those engineers had a cooling issue in the design and resolved it by putting this shroud below the engine to ensure adequate airflow past the engine and transmission. Now, living in MN, you might never have a problem, but you've kept it this long, so I'd say take the extra5 min each oil change and keep it in place.
