Just replaced the water pump and thermostat on this mpv and its still overheating and the heat dont work, and the upper radiator hose is extremely hot but the lower hose is cool and the one heater hose is hot but the other isnt could my thermostat be bad

 

The coolant is flowing from lower hose into the engine and out from upper. You might have a blockage in the middle of your radiator.
