Default 2005 alarm went off for no reason

this van must be cursed...the other night for no reason the alarm with horn and lights flashing went off . after remotely turning it off ,,,the dash was displaying an open door alarm....so i checked hood ,doors and tailgate ,,,,everything was fine....when I was driving away i could see that this alarm was faintly coming back on and off.....the floor was saturated with water,,,so i cleaned it up and dried it ....after 3 weeks it still ok....there are no wires on the drivers side floorboard so a short or ground seems irrelative...I feel that this situation will come back and haunt me again.... i would appreciate if someone else with this problem , found a solution....I am starting to really hate this vehicle ( 2005 mpv lx ) with 50,000 km....tons of little annoying problems.... ....from a long time mazda owner....2000, mpv, 2002 protege, and now this want to be mpv 2005,,,,

My subordinate coworker also has an '05 LX. She loves it and has no complaints.

I was unaware that Mazda installed an alarm in the MPV in '05 or any year. You sure that is not an aftermarket unit installed at or by the dealer? Or perhaps, did you have one installed?

BTW: What was the cause of the water on the floor? Did you find a solution for that? If it is A/C condensation perhaps that is what's causing the problem in the alarm. The moisture would likely be coming from the HVAC box and running down onto the floor.

Default alarm

it has factory installed theft deterrent system....and the water is the result of normal slush and snow tracked in by our boots....but was that the cause of the problem....other makes of vehicle will tell you which door or hood or tailgate if left open, but not this puppy..i think that mazda was lacking certain technologies in 2005 6 or older years.
