99 s. having done spark plugs on both cars, i also need to change out the valve cover gaskets. can i do this without removing the intake manifolds? looks like a lot of stuff has to come off to get at them

 

Looks like you have 2 2.3l millenia s's?? The valve covers on the S are a bear to do. Everything you see on top needs to come off in order to get to them. While you have them off would be a very very good idea to check the valve adjustment. The s has adjustable valve clearance that is changed with different thickness shims available from dealer and maybe aftermarket. Valve adjust on an S model runs around 6-8 hours labor with experience so be prepared for a weekend project for each at least.
