Default Side to side when accelerating from stop.

I just started noticing that when starting from a stop or crawl, the steering wheel moves slowly and slightly from side to side. It seems to diminish when more speed is achieved. I would think that if it is tires out of balance, the side to side would turn into more of a rapid shimmy. What do you think?

Default RE: Side to side when accelerating from stop.

Mine did the same thing a couple days ago but more severely than you described. It was down right annoying. I went to Autozone and got a bottle of Power Steering Stop Leak/Fix by Lucas. I noticed that my power steering reservoir was a little below the "low" level. I sucked about 6 oz. out and filled it up to the "full" line with the stop leak and since then the car steers like a dream.

I hope this helps.
