I have a Mazda Millenia 2002 and the check engine light is on error code is P0173 (Fuel Trim Malfunction) Can any one tell me how I can fix it. Thanks

 

probably one of the many vacuum "tee" fittings is broke, and you are getting air sucked in. this is a labor intensive job. if you have a 2.3, all kinds of stuff will have to come off, depending on which one it is. sometimes, you can actually hear them hissing at idle, where your vacuum will be really high. if you can pinpoint it then, it will be a lot easier. the tee itself is cheap, coupla bucks. but to get to it is BIG bucks.

ha ha. good luck. i have no experience with the 2.5. however, on the 2.3, there is about 40 FEET of vacuum hose, and probably a dozen tees. you might fix it over the weekend. the ENTIRE weekend. LOTS of stuff gotta come off to get to them.
