Malinium S 2001, 2.3L
I have hesitation and bucking past 2K RPM when l put my pedal down. Replaced the fuel filter, changed plugs and air cleaner.
It feels like something is restricting the gas flow or breaking down electronically. Does not do it all the time however when l try to the throttle down to increase speed it starts bucking, TSC light comes on and l have to slow down until the RPM increases. Any ideas.
Does this car have a fuel pressure regulator?
What else could it be?

is the ce lite on? if so, what codes? the car is going "limp home" mode. what happens is the ecu stops talking to the tcs module, and kicks it into limp home. actually, it will probably gently rev to about 2500. most likely something in the abv circuit. most common, vacuum leak(s) and abv vacuum/vent solenoid. there are 4 solenoids on the back of the engine, near the egr valve. there are lots of posts on this. and yes, the car does have a fuel pressure regulator.
