Heater core/ blend door

Heater core/ blend door
Hey folks,
I have a '01 with heater issues. I have followed several tips on this forum including flushing the heater core, spraying the actuator arm with WD-40 etc. The blend door/actuator appears to be opening and closing smoothly. I recently blew a heater hose and when I had it replaced the shop flushed the heater core again. The entire system was flushed 4 or 5 months ago when I replaced the radiator.
I am getting only slightly warm air with temp set at 90. The hose into the heater core is piping hot, but the one closest to the driver side is only warm. This is an improvement as it was completely cold when I first noticed this issue and blew only cold air. Can the heater core be bad if there is some heat being generated? What should my next move be? Thanks for any suggestions
