First I had put my 2000 2.3 milly out in the pasture for a few months, but couldn't bare to leave her there. I ran codes and got P0302, I think it's a bad coil pack ( floated it from cylinder # 5) gonna float it again though to make sure. I also got P0325 knock sensor, rat got holt to cable, tried splicing it. I cleared codes but still getting the P0325. I think the combo of both are causing the loud knocking and stalling on acceleration. I'm gonna replace it. And... by the way still getting the TCS after changing out vent and vac solenoids hoses and tees cleared the P1525/26 and 1540.

Now for questions. How hard is it to change out Knock Sensor and is there a step by step posted. Where can I get coil packs under a $100. The two green check valves $26- $35 Really... are they special or something?

Got a baby on the way so don't wanna spend too much at the moment, but wifey loves car an Me too!

 

The 1996 service manual on this site should help you out on the knock sensor. I had that code come up once and a few days later after this and that (not sure what i did ) but it went away.Could be the coil pack or plugs.Make sure you have the right plugs and gap. This site has alot of good info, like the vacume diagrahm.
