Hi, I need some help here. my car, a 1997 millenia2.5had a oil pump failure like a week ago. I put a new one last last saturday, but now the car is flooding the spark with fuel. The only way that the car start, but not accelerate, is taking of the fuel injector fuse, crank the engine a fwe times, put back the fuse back, and try again, with wide open throttle. The battery die in the prosses of find out what was the problem. The engine was running just fine until the oil ligth turns on. There's spark on each cylinder, and the best of my knowledge, timing (timing belt) wasn't changed during the installation. I had disconected the battery terminals for like 12 hours to see if the computer reset. There's nothing that I had done that improve the situation. I need to do something, I had just one week before the car gets towed from where I live. I really appreciate any input.

check your oil head gaskets...leaky gaskets will flood your spark plugs
