About the Millenia S engine.
Hey guys, I have a question about the Millenia S engine.
I have a 95 S, and I am looking for a remanufactured engine since my engine is dying. My question is basically: can I put a 98 engine in a 95 millenia with no problem? And, up to what year engine I can put in my 95 millenia without any major work in the engine to adapt it in my car? Thanks,

the compressor is different, but it is very minor. a hose comes off at a different angle, it can be rerouted. the intercoolers are mounted differently. on the 95/6, there are flanges on both ends of the ic's. on the 97- the ic bolts to the intake plenum with the same flange, but the inlet now has a flexible coupling. both will work fine. the coils on the 95/6 are 4 pin, the later coils are 3 pin. i know for a fact you can use the 4 pin coils on the later cars, i have a couple on our 99's. dunno if the reverse is true. the connectors are the same, and i recently saw a post of someone using the 3 pin coil on an early car, but he was having running problems, which i dont remember if it was because of the coils. these facts i know for sure.
Thanks keninn, I was checking the costs of putting another engine in my Millenia but definetely it is too expensive and I don't think its worth the effort and cost. I don't want it but I have to sell my Millenia as is
for me is a great car, but unfortunately is complicated and expensive and almost nobody wants to touch it.
