Hi- just got an 01 s millenia. Are these interference motors and is there a way to inspect the timing belt to see if it is original. If anyone has thoughts on things I should look out for or inherent problems these vehicles have please share. Thank you, Ed

 

unscrew the timing belt cover you could see whether it new or not. look for crack, chip, etc....

 

NON interference. the belt is nitrile. i aint changing mine till it breaks. as long as it dont get contaminated, you can let it go for a long time.
