2000 Mazda millennia S ME: #6 cylinder not firing. Fix? Anyone near Cincinnati?
Hello, I've had a Mazda millenia S millennium edition for many years now and it ran fine for several years (miller cycle engine, supercharged 2.3L transverse V6). One day it just stopped running. At first we thought the motor was caput according to a local mechanic but We think he just doesn't want to work on it. The engine turns over and runs. Car can drive but drives as if it's missing. Coil pack and spark plugs have been checked. Only the number 6 cylinder is not firing. There's no head gasket leak or milky oil and coolant as far as we know yet. The chamber almost filling the chamber where the spark plug goes in the coil pack It was full of oil in two cylinders and that comes from I believe the valve cover gasket is leaking. Valve cover gasket is likely Leaking oil into the cylinder. Can anyone help me figure this out? The plan is to replace the valve cover gasket but I will need help. Neighborhood mechanic. I need some help near Cincinnati. Loveland, Ohio to be specific.
