I have a 1998 Mazda Millenia S. The car stops when idle and sometime makes a whistle sound. I am suspecting a vacum leak or ckp sensor. The troubleshooting code is p0725 ( Engine speed input circuit malfunction) from the oem. Can you help me?

 

I own the same car and I was having the same problemwithwhistling noice and pauses while idling. My mechanic founda hole in the vacum pump hose, one of the small tubes that run into the engine from the bottom.In the scan it showedmap scensor, misfire in cyclinder #3. So i'm going to do a tune up and get a newhose put it.
