windows

RE: windows
A quick way to do a preliminary check is to turn the ignition switch to on, watch the idiot lights on the dash as you hit the window switch to roll it up/down. If the lights dim then it is getting power to the window motor. If they do not then it is probably the switch. A test light from there will tell you but the drivers side switch controls everything and can be repaired fairly easy unless it has a broken part. The contacts usually just need filing to fix them.

RE: windows
Hey Nguyen831,
In the past 20 or so years, I have had three electric windows stop working - none of them were MX5s. In each case, it turned out that a power wire was broken in the bundled areathat fits between the door and the frame. It was never a problem with the switch, nor the window motor. In my case, the wires apparently take a beating from constant opening and closing of the door. Also, in all three cases, it was the driver side door.
Best wishes,
Dave Wile
