Default Where is the A/C resistor on 2008 MX5?

We ordered the part but cannot find out where it goes. Others said it was behind the glove box, but no.

Any suggestions? It's hot in Texas!

Well, apparently that diagram was from a different model, but we did order a book and find the location of the part, but we cannot figure out how to get to it. Any ideas?

I couldn't find a video on your model but there seem to be similarities between models. Therefore this could be a rough guide:

I hope you don't have to do this:

The resistor module is in the plenum above the blower motor. You can see the cooling fins in the plenum looking into the housing with the blower out. This means the connector and access is behind the glove box, but I don't yet know how to get in there. My blower runs on high whenever the key is on, and I'm looking for the cause of the fault. The blower relay works, but is getting coil voltage to pull in. Still trying to trace down whether it's a wiring short or a faulty component.
