So I just bought a 08 Mazda MX-5 and for some reason traction control is not an option to shut off on the model I got. Anybody have any ideas as to if it really is the traction control taking over when I'm drifting or if its something else?I surfed the web and have not been able to find anything on it. This is my first miata and want to get this thing going on drifting. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

 

You don't have a button to the left of the steering column marked "DSC"? That's where those usually are.

Have you also thoroughly scoured the owners manual as well?

I know the parts catalog shows that to be the place where the switch is.
