Default Strange noise sometimes when clutch petal is pressed

My Miata MX-5 LS started making squeaky like noises when I held in the clutch on occasion, then it worsened to making it more regularly. Once in gear it stops but sometimes makes it in slow reverse when I am using the clutch to slow up a bit as I am backing into my garage.

I was thinking clutch but my slave cylinder movement to the clutch fork is about 1/2 inch. Is THAT correct?

I changed out my transmission fluid yesterday which helped allot (I think it was low but no leaks) however, the noise, although reduced is still present from time to time.

Any advice?

Thank you.

Is it a chirpy squeak? Or like a brake squeal? Or a single squeak? Does it happen in neutral and go away with slight pressure on the clutch? Also if you could fill out your signature, that way we all know exactly what your driving

Sounds like your release bearing is slowly dying.
