Default Rims and Tires

Ok..From what little I have read it is ill advised to change my 1990 miata rims and tires to anything above a 15 or 16 inch rim, max. (currently the stock 14inch )I do not race the car. Just drive it to work everyday. However I want to improve looks and I maybe do a little performance work for kicks. I have heard that moving to a 17inch rim and above will ruin the driveability of the car , slow it's responsivenes down and decrease road handeling. I am also concerned about my brakes if I was to move to that size wheel.

So , I am seeking an opinion..... here is what I am considering 5zigen Fn01r-c (gloss Black) Size: 15x7 PCD: 4x100 ET: 42 Weight: 13.5lbs. with Hankook Radial K106 205/50R15.

What is the diferance between this and the exact same set-up with an ET 33 ? which would look the best and why ?

thanks

Default RE: Rims and Tires

since the Fn01r-c are really lightweight, it will most likely increase your handling, and you wont need to get bigger brakes, etc.
you probably go to a 16 or 17 inch rim, with no problems...those rims u want are a track rim, so they're made light for a reason
(removing 1 lb of wheel weight equals 10lb of vehicle weight)
i actually looked at those rims for my mazda3, but decided on something a little nicer looking.....
