My back glass window on my '93 Miata tore apart from the zipper. It seems that all it would need is to be sewn back on but when I took it to get an estimate, I was told the entire top would definitely need to be replaced.

Has anyone else had a similar issue and have you been able to simply repair the zipper/window or do I need to replace the entire unit?
