Question Check Battery Light flashes constantly - electrical problem?

My check battery light is constantly flashing. The battery is fine, it turns over every time I start the car, but it is constantly flashing. When my lights are on, they flicker slightly - I'm guessing this is along the same page as the battery light? Is this just an electrical wiring issue or could it be something more?

Thanks!

I've never had this problem in my MX-5, but I have had it in other cars and every time it was the alternator. The battery lights would flicker or dim slightly every now and again. The car started fine every time, but the alternator wasn't charging the battery properly or constantly like it should. So while it was still charging enough to keep starting the car, it was just a matter of time before the alternator died completely, in fact the last time I had this happen the car died on my way to the garage to have it looked at. That stunk!

I hope it all works out for you. Let us know what it was in the end!
Good Luck, I hope it's nothing or something cheap and simple!

Check your grounds but the alternator sounds right don't wait too long as you could destroy the battery as well

Thanks so much for your help! I'm going to have my alternator tested as well as check the grounds. I appreciate it! =)
