Default Brake Lights Not Working.

My tail lights work and so do the license plate lights, but for some reason the brake lights don't work. I checked the bulbs and they looked totally fine (i.e. intact wires, etc). I replaced the fuse and that didnothing. I do need to replace my back window because it won't zip up and it rained the day before. Possible water damage? Any suggestions or answers would be greatly appreciated.

check the brake light switch on the brake pedal shaft, might be bad or out of adj.
