Any advice on the best brand / type of tire for my wifes 2006 Miata, P205/45W17 tire size.

Safety and stopping performance [for safety], plus long wearing, and smooth rideour main objectives. It will not be driven in the snow, nor is high speed or snappy cornering of concern.

We have gotten 19k out of the factory tires, so it is driven lightly.
