Mazda Miata (MX-5)This compact RWD model, offered with many engines options for those are who want to cruise with the top down in a base model, or hit the track in one of the high performance models, has been a popular model since its introduction.
A newer member had his thread closed so no one can continue to help him and answer questions and show him how some aftermarket body parts are seldom EVER bolt on blow paint and you are good to go.
Below are several pictures and I have many more projects in the works from various fiberglass and plastic aftermarket companies from not only the USA but other countries as well. The finished base line products all need work to install as they are all NON FACTORY parts nor are they factory clones copied into fiber glass.
You will notic some no mounting tbs or hole edges very rough and needing more fiber glass of other body materials to make them btter prepared for painting. And even some that I eliminated the emblem area so it would be a completely emblem free body part.
This is how it is when you start adding unfinish aftermarket body parts.
You either DIY learn (does not always work out well and is costly when you botch up a body part) as you go how to make them look good or pay a auto body shop experienced in doing aftermarket upgrades.

I will post more pictures as I find more pending and on going projects with various after market body parts .
Here is my Mazda after spending about 30 hours preparing the fiber composite hood scoop bonding and then painting the hood factory Mica Black.
Unfortunately the manufacturer of the material used reacted badly to the normal body fillers and primer and 2 days later the scoop cracked everywhere the edges of the scoop that were blend into the steel Mazda hood.
That looks great Callisto. Thanks for the instructional Fiberglass pics that you posted. Thankfully I have chatted with them at CARBON MIATA & they seem willing to make a CARBON FIBER front splitter to replace the fiberglass one that was unfinished!! If anyone out there needs a a front splitter for an NC3 Miata MX-5 Club just let me know since I don't really need it any more!! I want to thank the fine folks at CARBON MIATA again for being so helpful!!
