Question ABS and Air Bag

Greetings,

I have a 1993 Miata Limited Edition that I LOVE to "race" through the mountains where I live. Unfortunately I have two problems with it, the "Airbag" light and the "ABS" light. I have two questions:

1. I have determined the issue with the airbag and it is a "Front Impact Sensor" that has gone wrong. Where might one find a replacement?

2. My ABS light has come on recently (about 1 month ago) and it is very confusing. It will be raining with the ABS light on and I slam on the breaks and the light turns off and I have no slip (on black-top and on dirt) and then at the next stop light, I can slam on the breaks again and the light stays on and I slide through the intersection (not literally, I am in a controlled environment)... I am confused on this point. I know I need new break pads, but why would the ABS work at one light and not at the next.

Please let me know of any fixes. I asked about the airbag at my dealer and they wanted me to just replace the entire airbag system for $500+!!!

Also, if anyone out there is interested, I am selling my Miata due to insurance being too high. It is in great condition (other than issues above) minus the window for the convertible top is broken (comes with a hard and soft top), other than that, it is an amazing car and it has several after-market performance modifications...

Thanks!!!
