Default '93 Miata Distributor or Ignition Coil?

Does anyone know if a 93 Miata has a distributor?
I've called the dealer and they can't tell me - they say that the distributor is called the Ignition Coil -
but the ignition coils are the coils that leave the ditributor and cause the ignition spark...

I've also asked for part numbers and most dealers jsut don't know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for any all advice you all can give me!

'93 Miata uses a ignition coil pack. However you can adjust ign timing by moving the crank angle sensor which mounted next to the coil pack. The crank angle sensor is driven by the intake camshaft. You also have ignition igniter which mounted on right fender well.
These items are all connected to the powertrain control unit or module (black box), which controls fuel injection, timing & emissions.

The coil is at the rear of the rear of the valve cover with the plug wires coming out of it and going to spark plugs. No your car does not have a distributor but has instead what is called a crank angle sensor. It sticks out of the back of the engine just below the coils on the right side. Kind of looks like a distributor but without a cap for attaching plug wires. Serves basically the same purpose as the distributor in that it tells your engine computer when to produce spark and where. Coil pack is part # B61P-18-10XD and retails for $211.60. Crank angle sensor is part #B61P-18-230A and retails for $611.15. Did posts answer question?
